mabnz:
What would you recommend alternatively? The Fritz?

I've been very happy with the Fritzbox, BUT it doesn't bridge so probably not what you're looking for (wish it did as I still like my gargoyle router)

Zyxels are awesome and cheap. Just get one, they are good as gold. Set up for bridging is a sub-5 minute task.

I don't see the point in buying an expensive, fully featured router like Draytek's and Fritzbox's if all you are doing is bridging.

That's where hopefully the upcoming Draytek Vigor 130 will fill the gap at a very good price point.

I use the P870H behind a Mikrotik RB1100AHx2 and it is working well. Approx 300m from exchange we are synching up at 45/10Mbps and getting full download speed from our ISP.

Disclaimer: We do distribute and support both of these products.

I'm trying to find the location of the Kelburn Exchange (KLB). Can anyone link me to the spreadsheet of all cabinet/Exchange locations?

Try this link.

You have to convert the whatever map coordinantes those are into whatever google or your favourite map service uses to actually look it up. I saw the info posted here somewhere once, but can't remember and can't find it on a search. I did find the convertor in my history, link here.

Good luck.

[edit]It's not all the exchanges, I know my local isn't on there. Mostly it seems to only give cabinet locations.

Cheers. I've since found it but that spreadsheet doesn't show the coords of the Exchange, only the roadside cabinets :-(

I found this link (http://www.opus.co.nz/we/TelecomNZ/Post_EQ_response_plan/Plan%20Appendix_revision%2004_March%2009%20.pdf) which shows most exchanges, but not Kelburn.

And how well did the Genius sync? (hehe)
Maybe that's a hint Orcon will launch VDSL with a Fritzbox too :)

Ah, I read that as 'Snap', not Snappernet. Will do.

I think that your website should have a list of resellers, would certainly make it easier to contact them ;).

Yeah, but they're all slack and don't list the Vigor 130 yet... Where can I get one tomorrow (Saturday) in Auckland? ;)
