im happy with the 300GB for $100 I get from snap, great speeds never had issues with speeds on snap in the 8 years or so ive been with them.

300gb isnt unlimited sure, but i only use around 200-240gb at most a month.

So far a lot have said Orcon. But I want to hear from other providers and I want someone from telecom and a few others to try and bend my arm a bit. ;)

This. You get more data for cheaper than the telecom plan too, with unlimited offpeak.

I've decided to update this thread with some better news.
Apparently a customer Snap Rep email'd me saying that yes I can get their services.
But here's the catch.
VDSL is also available they manually checked with chorus and they say that I can get VDSL at my location.
So. Is it worth getting VDSL now with this information?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Talked with snap further. $130 for 500GB 12/m contract the only thing that's setting me back is the $345 modem. I could go for Telecom's deal, same deal $1 cheaper and free modem. The only thing I would only use the modem is the connection it self. I've got my own network. Is telecom's deal better?

if you already have a decent router setup and such, you might be able to go with a pure modem, theres a few decent ones out there, for if im not mistaken, 200$ mark..

otherwise, 24 month, free modem?

i personally went 24, got the free modem (or well, paid the extra for the 7390 but it was only like 50$), came with a move of location for free too, which was handy

Alright thanks. I'll update as I plan this and post my experiences.
Cheers.
