urm. thats not 10dB.. thats 6.4dB

sync wise, that can be a huge difference. more likely to be 40~45/10 at that point, probably just outside of the 17a range unfortunately.

Upstream seems a little high. Filter will sort that. 6.4Db down will be lucky to get 17a.

I am about 30m from cabinet, with a master splitting device installed, would attenuation be low enough for 17a?

doesnt look like it, although your line is a little noisy so your attenuation could be reading slightly high, at which point the filter will clean that up a bit.

cables dont always run direct, or how you would assume.

TimAs cables go all the way down the street and back, rather than straight to the cabinet at his fenceline (its ok, your more than welcome to laugh about it)

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Enjoy your international speeds.
I am not sure how you signed up in 5 minutes and got an install time straight away when most locations for VDSL are backlogged 2 weeks or more.

Why not approach the high data caps? I thought you signed up with Orcon. Maybe some research would be a very good idea.
