Can also confirm the yellow cable it's the fibre cable that from outside to your ONT here, have the same cable here at my place.

But you dont have a Chorus ONT, yours is from another LFC - looks like yours is designed to be there but with the proper usew of the backmount on the Chorus ONT the patch cord shouldnt be run like this one has been.

I don't know why they bothered putting that ETP there. They should have just taken the fibre directly to the ONT and spliced in the back of that.

Numpty's is the best way to describe these people.


Perhaps that's because its not an ETP (E = External).

It's a BUDI - fibre break out/distribution box where multiple connections can be provisioned from.




Actualy the box that they look like thay have spliced the Fibre in is a FTB (Fibre Termination Box) which in the Chorus UFB network is/should only used as on ETP as its not designed to be used as it has here..

The mutipule forms of the BUDI boxs are used as FATS and Tube transition joint covers - of which the above install is not one.
