Would be interested to see how this progresses from your standpoint as being an apartment complex.
How many units in the complex. And I would love to know what the build would end up like.

I'll keep this thread updated then. 105 apartments + retail spaces, it's not a high rise though (townhouses etc). Close to One Tree Hill, Auckland.

I know that including mine there's 3 UFB orders so far and non-GPON fibre from Gen-i for one of the retail spaces (govt department office in there)

To top it off we recieved a letter from Telecom inviting us to switch to their ADSL today.... Yeah, nah.

Another update: all consents done, according to Chorus the design is complete, with no contributions required on either the owners or the body corp's side. They're ducting fibre to each apartment, not using ethernet (as I understand they're allowed to do now?).

Chorus say there is a lot of UFB install requests for our building. Fingers crossed.

No word on a date, though.

Update: Chorus are still deciding if contributions are needed. They seem to be taking their time with this part :(

I am of strong opinion that the left hand doesn't know what the right one is doing here. I have three installs for UFB at different MDUs since July. Consents were sent back in for two of them immediately (for one of them, we're the owner of the entire building), so that's definitely not the hold up here.

The screen shot is a bit cut off for me, but consents were sent in three months ago https://i.imgur.com/NwmmmCj.jpg

To be complete honest you're not even close to the point of being able to complain yet - that's only allowed when you hit 12 months of waiting. smile

We've got a few like this.  It's very frustrating since we cannot get Chorus to tell us precisely who still requires consent. All we can do is go by what the Chorus portal says. Are you able to forward us the email from Chorus? Maybe we can chase them up with that?

I can imagine. Not your guys fault! Yep I've sent a full screenshot of the body corp consent email in to your support team.

It took over a year for our building to get connected. Myself and few other owners started process in April 2013. First connection was installed in july 2014 :)

It's been 18 months in my MDU and the consent stage still isn't done yet!
