still no reply from ultra fast tauranga

tell that to all the houses around me whos sparkies did the lead ins.

As far as I am aware UFF has negotiated with Chorus to use pre-existing Chorus conduit for the lead-in, although don't quote me on that, but I imagine worst case scenario you can always deal directly with the installer regarding running the fiber through the duct anyway - I think it'd be easier to get permission from Chorus than it would be to rip up Concrete at the LFC's cost.

As for internally? Personal recommendation, ensure that you have an easy path to where you want the ONT installed - be it in the garage, the office, the lounge, or what have you. If you're doing a full patch panel (I recommend it if you can make it happen), that'd be the optimal place for it to come out. Keep in mind you'll need space for the ETP for the fiber on the outside, as well as an ITP inside (about the size of the smaller Chorus copper ETP), an ONT and a Router.

got an email from UFF saying they are re-negotiating the terms and expect to have it sorted so that existing ducts can be used...should be all good by the time they lay fibre in our street early/mid next year.

went to the house yesterday to discover the sprky had put an offcut of flex conduit in the wall to get out through the bricks that were to be laid today and nothing up the wall...GRRRRRRR! so up at 6am to go out to the house and install a proper 20mm conduit with large radius bend to get out to the ETP...seriously why did i bother having a pre construction meeting and pre wire meeting????
