Well, that's quite a long time away. I'll probably end up moving just as it comes on-line haha.

Stanmore Bay huh ? ;)

Little Manly. Some patches of darker blue to my left and right on the map, but I'm in a wash of pale blue. And no cabinet, hooked directly to the exchange, snad too far for VDSL. I'm maxing out at 9.5 Mbps for the next 4-5 years. At least we have nice beaches though right!

It's weird that your just up the road and yet in Ranui the road I live on is being dug up right now (more green piping sticking out of the ground every day!) and Chorus says "...by Feb-2015".

Does Chorus work along any predefined routes, or just purely based on subscriber numbers when installing UFB?

im sure there are a few other things that could be said for it being weird that ranui gets anything before other areas ;)

Very open-ended comment there hio77! But I will assume you mean things like VDSL (which we got a few years ago, I get 10 up and 41 down). But what did you ACTUALLY mean?

It wouldn't be so bad that the UFB is not scheduled until 2018-2019 but they are installing the cables right now and stopping 5 doors away!

Street has been ducted 6 months ago along with a letter from chorus for egress but chorus maps have changed by end of this year to Jul-2017 and Jun-2018

I'm guessing at this rate, I'll probably have a much faster LTE mobile connection at home (and beach) before I get UFB!
At least you have VDSL, I'm squeezing all I can out of my ADSL 2+ connection. I guess they decided that we were close enough to the exchange, although it's odd as there seem to be places cabinetised closer to the exchange than we are.

Looks like I'll be on VDSL for sometime... (This is Papatoetoe FYI)

Big Wellington city suburbs still lagging behind! As someone stuck with ADSL as the only option, I'm dismayed to see "Jul-2018 and Jun-2019", but i guess 4-5 years is still better than some places.

Agree that there is probably a market for 4G-based home plans!
