There's finally schedules for after Jun 2016. Unfortunately my suburb is scheduled for between July 2018 and June 2019, not ideal for a suburb next to Otago University full of academic staff and mature aged students (and no VDSL).

UFB fibre up to 200 Mbps by Jun-2016.

I'm sure this used to say 2015.

Woo Hoo . Now it says  UFB fibre up to 200 Mbps between Jul-2016 and Jun-2017  even though a bout 200 meters away they are currently putting in fiber... Was 2019 last time but I suspect i won't be there when this happens though..

Thanks for the heads up.laughing

That's pleasing that there is a date scheduled but it's still four years before a good option against Vodafone cable. It might be four years out ("UFB fibre up to 200 Mbps between Jul-2017 and Jun-2018") but its at least 2 years sooner than others.

Is this the new worst-case scenario? (apart from never)

(sigh)
UFB fibre up to 200 Mbps between Jul-2018 and Jun-2019 - yet either side of us has it being laid now within spitting distance....

My colleague is in the same boat, although he has VDSL to use.
His entire neighbourhood is having UFB except for about 20 houses around his street. I wonder if they set the date out long based on the fact that he has VDSL to use until UFB is done?

I am on ADSL now and looking forward to Apr-2015 :)

I'm in Whangaparaoa - UFB fibre up to 200 Mbps between Jul-2018 and Jun-2019
Well, that's quite a long time away. I'll probably end up moving just as it comes on-line haha.
