ckc: They're saying "lightening fast internet", but that means that the internet will be as fast as the process of changing from a darker shade of colour to a lighter one. Does anyone know how fast this process is? Because if it's as slow as my recycling bin faded in the sun, I'm not that impressed by the speeds offered by gigabit internet.

I think maybe the Internet is becoming lighter weight as it rises up into the Clouds.

freitasm: 5.95 million tweets in 12 months - about 16,000 a day (or something like that).

That was too much.

Don't be so sure ... There might be a spike after the announcement

Dunedin.

News boy just said they will be the first town to get this level of internet. He obviously hasn't been to a UFF region haha.

Now would be the best time for all the LFCs to announce they will be offering 1Gbps.

Yo Dunedin, I'm really happy for you and I'ma let you finish but Nelson was the best contestant for gigatown of all time!

Really looking forward to the new topics:
"I have Gigatown Fibre and can't get 1gbit over WiFi, phoned Orcon and they said use Ethernet but I want Gigabit on my iPad!"
