I have tried, its stuck in the attenuation range section of both Yes, and barely over no.

my isp kept going back to the prequal done in 2014, After arguing why that would be an invalid record to go back to, i gave up.

Guy i spoke to kept going back to his manager, failing to answer the clear question of what is the Attenuation figure in Wireline until the last stage. By then he was clearly frustrated and i was getting nowhere.

Left it to come back to another day, A delivery for me had just arrived and was far more pressing.

Best solution will likely be move ISP, to one who is competent just need to push past a couple of contract things since a family member got fooled into linking almost everything into the account and signed a long contract in doing so..

I will await the maps to be on my side before arguing it some more though.

I've just looked up my parents' address in the Spark "what Internet is available at my address" page and they are now eligible for VDSL! They've been struggling along on sub-speed ADSL until now and couldn't get any other service. They really needed a master splitter put in. Now they can get a free install on a 12 month VDSL contract.

The Chorus map is still not updated but obviously Spark are across the changes. Try looking up your address on the Spark page and see what they say.

I too have noticed the same thing here, as with bigpipe

Snap and Slingshot have not updated / say no.

Vodafone have always said yes on their checker so i dont even consider their accuracy.

This alone brings the question of, what is with isps checkers? they never seem to be universally agreeing. i accept that most jump to no when an "inconclusive" result is returned, but the way they handle that response is often strange.

Sparks checker itself only works on my address about 1 in every 10 tries. Not sure why it doesn't like it so much.

My current isp (Vodafone - Due to a contract lock in with sky... im working on dismantling that...) got quite upset with me on the 28th when i rang to try to push through a change.

Tech really didnt understand the simple questions of directly looking at wireline status, Asked me multiple times if i do work at vodafone after i quoted a few things they would see. Sadly Both the Tech, the sales person they spoke to and their manager (all of which i was refused the chance to explain to them it myself) all did not fully understand the question (tech heard vdsl and thats all he wanted to hear. i was most frustrated with this..)

End of the conversation i simply said, Look. im sorry for all the time you have spent with me on this, You clearly are not going to directly give me the answer i am looking for, I can see from my side that CCM is not updated yet. I will wait till that is updated in line and speak to you guys again then.

My line itself lands in wireline as 11-16 (Atleast this is what i managed to get out of the tech with enough repeating myself), obviously that range is frustrating to deal with in itself. It requires critical thinking to identify that a max of 15 in their system, that wireline range fits at the upper end of it and is reasonably likely to be within the limit.

End of the day, i will end up moving isps soon as possible. I will miss the rather odd quriks Vodafone have on their network as they are fun to toy with but ild much rather an isp that doesnt mess with traffic.
