2degrees have almost always immediately answered the phone. Have no idea what their hold music is like as I have never heard it.
I've had a totally different experience. Was a Snap customer since around 2008 however when 2degrees bought Snap the hold times increased dramatically. When I was getting Fibre installed I was getting hold times of at-least 30mins no matter when I called, I can also tell you all the songs on their playlist and have complained about this on multiple occasions (Pharrell Williams "Happy" and Sam Smith "Stay With Me" are 2 that drove me crazy). In the end after multiple billing errors resulting me getting charged + debited $200+ around 4 months in a row since getting Fibre I ended up getting fed up and moving. My final bill also was wrong and resulted in me having to follow up once again.
First world problems I know, but I'd much prefer being able to flick them a support ticket via email or a contact form which is why I joined BigPipe and never looked back since. No hold times, just flick a support ticket when something goes wrong and get on with your life whilst they fix it.
