kind of annoying that the FAQ doesn't even suggest testing over a wired connection.
If they are going to keep trying to blame poor speed on the ISP it would be better to rule that out first as that is by FAR the most common cause of getting a lower speed than expected.

14 from Fast.com, 95 from Speedtest (several times over for both).
Could this be due to using SmartDNS for US Netflix?
slightly under for me and rounded.
Seems to consistently open 3 threads though, for purely testing throughput to netflix ild say it does its job pretty well.
ild suspect it would be a little dodgy with smart dns services.

Got:
340 - Fast.com
vs
370 - speedtest.com - Callplus Server (NOTE: hd.net seem to throttle their tests to 95/95, all other servers go faster seems dodgy!)
Tested from Callplus.
Fast.com for me resolves to an Akamai Server hosted off Auckland IX.

Very likely

Fast.com: 27Mbps
Speedtest.net: 27.2/3.8Mbps
Nperf.com: 27.2/3.8Mbps
HTTP download speed: 3400~KB/s
Pretty consistent all around.
PhantomNVD: 7...20...20...11...19 sequential results locally,
Consistent 10 for "US East" via VPN, but
12 for "UK London" via same VPN?
So about half speed for international than local
(On skinny broadband)
If they are from the fast.com speedtest, and you're running a VPN, you should _ignore_ the results. You're probably connecting to a server that was never designed to provide traffic to you so might not be well connected by design.

FWIW. Speedtest.net 49.4M, fast.com 49M, nperf 49.4.
But that doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

Having trouble with youtube and vimeo buffering tonight. Speedtest to Myrebublic servers 105mbps.
Fast.com 7.9mbps
Maybe its a check on Netflix servers, but appears to be valid for real world use in this case.
26mpbs on fast.com vs 209mbps on speedtest.net

BigPipe, using "insert red unblocker here":
207/210Mbit on Speedtest.
210/212Mbit on nPerf
140Mbit on fast.com (baring in mind this is going to a location in Europe via a proxy (confirmed)).

doesnt load for me.......... ner LOL.... 71 at work
The little things make the biggest difference.
Not sure how useful this is, it only shows about 40Mb/s on my desktop (600Mb/s on speedtest.net) that is gigabit connected directly into one of the primary firewalls on a very large ISP backbone that has several Netflix caches. Another test machine connected to another firewall shows 920, as below. Seems a bit inconsistent.
97Mbps on Fast.com, 100 Mbps on Speedtest.net
Bigpipe Fibre at 1930 last night.
