The DSL side of the splitter is straight into an RJ45 socket with the modem plugged directly into the socket
The Voice side of the splitter goes into a voice distribution board with cat5 to all of the BT sockets around the house. It appears that the voice cables are reversed but the data cables are correct.
Voice now has no static, but I'm seeing all these FECs on the Data side.
Would have thought it was strange for a structured cable house to have BT jacks installed rather than just two RJ45s per outlet.
They ran two Cat5E to each phone endpoint, one Grey cable and one Blue.
They only wired the Grey cable to BT phone jacks and left the blue cabled unconnected.
At the patch panel they used a telco distribution board for all of the phone jacks with no xDSL spliter which I've now corrected.
