Very common with old fibres... especially in MDU's when the addresses don't match up.

MDU's yes... those can be a nightmare.

Come across a few situations where a dodgy was done and two primarys were on a single ONT as it was easier for the tech to run cat5.... blows my mind.

Looks like this started getting Frequent disconnections from about 1pm, has now totally failed.

Notification just came from chorus's normal Faults channels advising 17th as completion..

Hmmmm.....   client's single ISDN has not been reconnected as it was not properly documented by the installer last week, who also signed off installing two lines but only one NTU is on the wall.  Chorus tech coming to add 2 more ISDN lines can't touch it as the ticket is tagged to the cabinet repair job so he would not be paid for the job be paid I understand.  Not Chorus-bashing, just frustrating for our client who has had everything possible go wrong with this move.

And now there is a problem with the UFB installation.....  something completely out of left field.  Argh!

Looks like the previous tenant never cancelled the connection when they moved out and switched off the ONT..... Chorus came out and fixed the ONT (which had lost some settings it seems) and the previous tenant's broadband burst into life!  To be unravelled today...

All the better reason to be moving away from ISDN now before you're forced to in a couple of years time unless there are specific case requirements (such as broadcasting) that require it.
