Mine has had two scopes so far, last one was a month ago. I asked Voyager for an update, but haven't heard anything back. I think my install is just cursed. @ChorusNZ on twitter told me they would merge my previous install request with BP manually into the new one so there wouldn't be any lag (apparently they were able to) but I haven't heard a peep since. At least the second guy that did the scope actually saw the fibre, confirmed it's to all of our buildings, and stated it won't need to be run from the street as it's already done to each building. Much better than the instance with BigPipe who said Chorus told them there was no fibre to our buildings at all, and it would need to be run from the road. That was their fourth excuse and the final straw for me with them.
My install is/was not easy. The Chorus tech just wanted to slap a piece of conduit up the wall to get into the roof, or bust a hole into the garage and have the ONT there.
I said NO, use the existing cable to pull a new one in, the tech said they were not allowed and Chorus said their techs are not trained in pulling in cables like this so they were not allowed to.
In the end I have paid someone to do it. Good job too because the first idiot (when the house was first built) routed the cables though 10mm holes, had the cables going at sharp right angles and were impossible to pull. Sadly the ONT will be in the garage rather than in the middle of the house (2 story) where my patch panel is. I am an ex sparky so trust me when I say apart from cutting up the floor boards there was no way to do this. However apart from 1 hole we had to make in the gib in the shed the job is acceptable and far better than the quick slap it in we were initially offered.
