Thanks. Can any of the Chorus or Spark guys on here please advise if this issue was previously reported and fixed?

So no response I see. I just had another power cut this morning, and once again the landline immediately did not work, so this cabinet problem has not been fixed.

i take it you are testing with a physical corded phone?



Monitored house alarm? If so, it may be dialing out to report the power failure. And the line grabber function will be killing the dial tone to your phones.

Do you have xDSL? If so, put the modem on a UPS and see if it stays connected during the power cut.

I'd skip over the dsl test, as the dslam are least likely to be powered.

Yes, of course. We have many of those old 90s Telecom branded corded phones.

Monitored alarm - no. VDSL - yes. UPS - no.

 

As I reported in my initial post, I first noticed this problem on MSY/BD last month. The landline was working fine during power cuts earlier in the year. Nothing has changed on my end since then.
