Thank you to all who have contributed particularly Richard @Chorusnz who expedited things. Apparently the web site was premature in announcing that fibre was available at our address but it is now and installation is scheduled for next Monday.

And installed today.  Still only 100mbs but the upgrade is coming :) Brilliant
