From your descriptions of the situation it sounds very much like there is some kind of damage still on the cable that's causing an intermittent issue.

That would have been my fault... i forgot about the defect on editing posts sorry!

My issue is now sorted , there was a connector that i replaced in a pillar, hasnt dropped since chorus was really helpful.
