I'd hate to think of the contention issues that would start creeping into the network with mass market 1000/1000 with the number of people who think running speed tests on their Gigabit connection every few minutes to monitor performance is an essential thing to do just to see how well their connection is performing - without realising or understanding the reason their connection may not be performing that well is all the other people doing exactly the same thing.
