Just out of curiosity no WISP in the area?

yrless+ is the only 5ghz WISP in the area. Even though it would be cheaper in the long run, the initial outlay is too much at this time :)

Remember that WISPs doing get Government Funding, yrless+ do unlimited.... their website doesn't say what the capital outlay is but having worked in the WISP industry in a former lifetime the cost to the provider is anywhere from $1-2000 per customer.... most installs are around $500 which is an absolute steal.

a limited number of providers will allow you to use your own router too :)

that is another bone of contention over Fixed Wireless because often the RSP supplied router is unfit for purpose
