Now I've missed out on looking at all the questions. Disappointing!

They're still there for me. Presented verbatim for your reading pleasure:

This is Chorus's property and should be handed back to Chorus, it either stays with the house or gets returned.

Not possible to sell Chorus property.

How can you sell an item that belongs to Chorus NZ ?

It isn't yours to sell!!!

I'm sure Chorus would love to have their property back...

Hey friend,i created an account to just inform you. I work for an internet company in Newzealand and just want to say you that you shouldn't be selling this !! 1. Due to the fact that onts have a serial number that is for a specific address as internet provider we go off the serial number to verify addresses 2. No provider in newzealand can allow you to use this as a router directly as chorus haven't enabled it yet So if anyone is interested in this I would highly stay away

You do know, that big logo on the side of it, is NZ infrastructure related and you're now trying to sell government property essentially ? :) ONT units STAY where they are installed. If the house is sold, whats the next person meant to use to connect to the internet with......

Hiya. Don't these belong to Chorus as per this page https://www.chorus.co.nz/q/model-type-300

You're not able to sell this... it belongs to Cborus, and either needs to be left at the property it was installed in, or returned to Chorus. You're selling a very expensive paperweight which doesn't belong to you.

Welp expect Chorus to contact you about this listing, if you dont require the ont then you cant sell it, it must be returned

The sticker on the side saying "property of Chorus - do not remove" should indicate to you that you can't sell this. It is programmed by Chorus to connect to the UFB fibre network only at your specific house/address. It won't work anywhere else so apart from the fact your selling property belonging to Chorus, it's completely useless to anyone living anywhere other than your house.

Selling stolen goods you can be arrested

THIS IS NOT YOURS TO SELL. IT BELONGS TO THE PROPERTY. You need to put this back to the house it came from

Isn't this owned by Chorus?

It's not yours to sell. It's the property of Chorus NZ.

I wonder if Trademe will actually do anything about it though, or if the seller will actually bother to read the questions...or just simply press on and relist it?

This made me giggle LOL!

I had a scroll through the sellers other listings, and apart from 2 pages of underwear, he is selling 2 Netcomm modems (DSL and DSL/Fibre) so I would assume he has FWA.

Yep. Would have to be very exceptional circumstances to end up with a spare ONT, so I am assuming.

Just received a fixed price offer for it of $40 so looks like all of the questions did not deter them.

Wonder if chorus reps would offer a bounty for anyone who took the offer and send it to chorus instead.

Nah, the seller would still make money. Need TM to take appropriate action.

Dang. The barcode reader on my phone can't pick up the S/N, even after sharpening the image. It would be nice if Trademe offered higher res photos.

S/N is visible on the power supply: https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/plus/1511574602.jpg

The other photo higher res: https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/plus/1557609302.jpg

The one on the PSU isn't the ONT S/N. I tried with the second image, but it's too low res and the seller has edited out the text with the S/N.
