Enable has been 200/100 for a around a year most ISP’s. I’m only aware of Skinny sticking with the 20 upload.

I don’t think there was a media release about the upload upgrade of 20 to 100.

2degrees haven't done 100/20 in Christchurch for a long time. 200/20 was the standard for quite a while.
200/100 has been the baseline since August 2020 for 2d UFB via Enable.

They say he carved that spoon himself.. From a bigger spoon..

In the “If They”, I was referring to Spark being that speed. I have 2degrees for $75, 200/100 which I guess will go to the 300 one. For some reason Spark to date only pass’s on the Chorus upgrades which I think is a stink.

If Spark does take up the Enable offer, it means for another $10, can get Netflix, which is around $8.50 cheaper then adding Netflix onto 2degrees. Also I could dump Sky, and when Sky has something want to watch get Neon a bit cheaper.

Also I have to phone 2degrees to get the $75 price, otherwise after a year I’m back on $89. I don’t really fancy holding onto the phone for hours waiting for them to answer it to get a competitive deal.

I don’t want to go back to 100/20, and if 300/100 becomes new base plan with most, not interested in paying Spark $100 for the gig plan.

And then if ISP’s decide charge extra for the 300/100, I can go the other way, keep Sky and get the Gig speed for $79 with Sky. Also an option if Spark doesn’t take up Enables offer. I’m also interested in seeing what new Sky Box offers, if it can stream 4K movies it may be of more interest to me then Netflix.

I was on 100mbps Fibre via Enable & Spark and just did a speed test on the off chance this morning and found I've already been upgraded to 300/100..nice surprise. No communication from either company however. MySpark still shows me as on a 100 plan..so I assume this was planned...

The fine print of my email today had a few other upgrades listed

Enable has increased the speed of some of its fibre broadband services from 1 December, 2021.

Residential customers on 30Mbps(download)/10Mbps(upload) services will move to 50/20 and those on 100/20, 200/100, and 200/20 will move to 300/100.

Business customers on 30/10 will move to 50/50, those on 100/100 will move to 300/300 and those on 200/200 will move to 1Gbps/500Mbps.

Those business plans with a Committed Information Rate (CIR) of 2.5/2.5 will also change to 5/5.

Although Enable will upgrade the speeds of its services, the actual speed customers experience will be subject to your internet service provider making changes in their network and your in-premise equipment (e.g. router) may need to be updated to support the new speeds. Enable is not increasing the cost to internet service providers for the speed upgrade. The retail price is determined by your internet service provider.

We are on a managed 200/200 business connection in Christchurch provided through Enable, 2degrees is the ISP. The specific plan is Interconnect SD 200.

Does anyone from Enable know if these managed fibre connections will also be getting a speed bump?

I'm on Bigpipe in Christchurch and not seeing the changes. Does it require a power cycle or anything or "just work"? I'm currently on a 200/20 plan.

Looks like my Bigpipe+Enable 200/20 connection got the boost to 300/100 sometime earlier today. Didn't have to power cycle or anything.
