If your new ISP is another Vocus ISP it will make no difference

I suspect there can be differences between 2degrees brands (2D, Orcon, Slingshot, Flip etc) and their wholesale ISP customers who presumably purchase XYZ amount of aggregated bandwidth which could be insufficient at times.

At least that's how it was at an ISP I worked for a while ago.

Thats why I was hoping someone on another Vocus ISP in the Waikato on UFF would see this tread and give it a test

Still waiting for my ISP change over....

It's fair to say, it's getting worse.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Connection has remained crap since posting the initial post (if anything it got worse).

My new connection with Slingshot livened up today. Problem solved.
