I suspect there can be differences between 2degrees brands (2D, Orcon, Slingshot, Flip etc) and their wholesale ISP customers who presumably purchase XYZ amount of aggregated bandwidth which could be insufficient at times.

At least that's how it was at an ISP I worked for a while ago.

At least that's how it was at an ISP I worked for a while ago.

 

Thats why I was hoping someone on another Vocus ISP in the Waikato on UFF would see this tread and give it a test

 

my max/max sky broadband is working just fine in Wellington

Connection has remained crap since posting the initial post (if anything it got worse).

 

My new connection with Slingshot livened up today. Problem solved.
