SomeoneSomewhere: Do you have a router from a previous ISP? Chances are you can reuse it.

Sky make you return it when you cancel, just like the Skybox

I recomend NOWNZ to old folk who need that extra helping hand, and fast call response on the phone.

To be fair, I am geeky, and I'd happily pay a little extra to be able to reach a competent helpdesk. I can solve most of my own issues, but if I can't, I want to be able to get hold of someone who can.

You don't have to be old to appreciate good service!

You are the exception; everyone just wants rock-bottom prices these days.

/me shrug, perhaps I am fortunate, but I don't see that as much. Most people I know are focused on value rather than absolute cost.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Not everyone. Some know the cheapest is often a false economy.
