Well crud. I actually don't mind the outages as we have two connections but that's ok- hopefully it's not too far away as voyager have been excellent in every other regard.

Hi,

Thanks for confirming that for us,

I've had a chat with the team about getting your connection switched over to IPoE and currently we have minimal visibility over these connections, so if something goes wrong this would make supporting them difficult for the support team and we are wary of subjecting you to that and wouldn't want you to be without service unnecessarily. At this stage I'm sorry we won't be able to add you into the trial, However, we are hopeful that this will come out of trial very soon and become available for everyone within the next couple of months. I will keep this case open and reach out again and let you know once it's set up.

From the conversations I've been part of it doesn't sound too far away, hoping for around a month but these things aren't set in stone and if issues pop up we will spend the time to fix them first. And of course, if things change with the trial and we can add you in I'll let you know too.

Kind regards

FWIW a lot of ISP's use Mikrotik and at this time DHCP is not scalable (server side) within an ISP environment for these.

One of the ISP's I work for can do PTP addressing and this has the added benefit of 1500 MTU. Its what I use at my home office to support BGP :-) PTP uses extra IP's and custom config so it is considered a commercial service. So not something I would advise them to accept for $79 a month for example. But its there if you want it.

Other option is to find an ISP who is not using Mikrotik/RouterOS for their BNG's.

Bit late to the party, but can confirm Mercury uses IPoE - By default you will be placed on CG-NAT but can ask for a Dynamic Public IP for free or Static IP's are available for $5 per month - We also support IPv6 but currently don't offer static v6 ranges at present.
