Hmm went 350-400KB/s here which is basically our max based on our line rate, on Big Time.
It was coming from Telecom's local akamai cache cluster.
Double check these Telecom connections are using the ISP assigned DNS servers not a third party like google or open dns as that will mess with various content delivery networks.
AVG went so fast I couldnt' even stop it so say, started with 3sec remaining, then finished, went too fast for me to tell
Nod32 64bit trial, the non-standard one, was coming down at 700Kb a second with 1 minute remaining
This is Tcom Pro plan with Static IP
Waht speed tests do you get on each of those Telecom plans? Are they in the same neighbourhood? and different plans? or both Big Time? Maybe one has a 128Kb upload?
I have moved across the ditch. Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.
gareth41:.... at 95kb/s which is the max upload speed on my orcon connection. Shame on Xtra!
I would say shame on Orcon for not telling you that you should be getting 500kbps to 800kbps upstream, or faster with ADSL2. Even if you forgot the capital "B" in your speed, thats still up to 100kB/s although could allow maybe 50% for overhead and congestion. Maybe check your ADSL sync and especially filters etc.
