insane: The current EUBA implementation is a little up in the air really as not even Telecom have a standard way of presenting it to ISPs. Only a few nights ago at ISPNZ a number of ISP heads were talking about them having difficulties with the implementation as its not as easy as just using the L2TP tunnels.
Obviously ISPs want to use EUBA for various reasons but unless there is an easy way to provision them each then it could become a bit of a non starter.
Would be interesting to know what hardware the ISPs that are currently using it as their standard residential offering are using. Also whether they are using 1 CVID per customer of if they are able to have many customers aggregated into 1 SVID.

But if not, it seems what happened is something like this:
1) Telecom Wholesale launched EUBA0
2) Telecom retail move to EUBA0 for people in EUBA/ADSL2+ areas
3) Telecom Wholesale stop supporting ADSL2+ on BUBA
Sorry, but that calls for tinfoil hat cat:

Your profile on the port is ADSL1 as you are subscribed to an ADSL1 service. The part about 'optimized' for ADSL2+ is wrong and has been flagged to be removed. Hopefully that clears this matter up.

cbrpilot: ADSL2+ is available on UBS, and has been for many years.

Sorry for semi resurrecting this old post but I saw it because of the new reply although that doesn't affect my response. Anyway are you sure it was at the time? As I said, all evidence suggests I was on UBS at the time and had ADSL2+ sync precabinetisation until I was moved to a cabinet when I was limited to ADSL sync and when a request was made to move me to a ADSL2+ profile, Chorus rejected this request. It was only when I was changed to UBA that I was allowed to get ADSL2+ again by Chorus. As I said, considering even at the time UBS was grandfathered I had no complaints about Chorus (still part of Telecom at the time) refusing to supported ADSL2 on it, regardless of what they had done in the past, I'm simply pointing out I haven't actually seen any explaination or evidence suggesting this isn't what happened.
