webwat: Sorry flat bush is a different story, don't know why I thought you were somewhere else! Please check whether you are getting fibre instead of ADSL. If you don't have it already (like some other developments in Flat Bush) then it may be coming. Applying for ADSL to move to one of these subdivisions might not always get information about what is being installed. The developer is responsible for organising utility infrastrucure and I reckon new telecom works might be complicated or delayed while Chorus is busy working through its UFB restructure.

did you consider wireless internet?  that might be better than dialup.  both http://www.compass.net.nz and http://www.woosh.co.nz offer wireless broadband that covers at least part of flat bush.  

I'm always surprised whenever someone says that they cant get broadband where  there is often wireless alternatives. Maybe these companies should be running around pamphlet droppng in the areas where there are wired waiting lists...  talk about missed opportunity.
   


note: i am not recommending either os these ISPs, i've never dealt with them.

thanks mate, im currently using 2dgr 3g, i really don't want to switch my internet into wireless, i need to see a lot of online movie and play online games. so, i got no options but waiting.
