With my limited understanding of ATM i would think thats an advantage because they can backhaul it with a bunch of bonded ATM copper links rather than running fibre out to it. Think "Fast Conklin" lol.

HNE/AG has not been replaced, it's been relieved by HNE/AX which is just around the corner.  I realise the SAT doesn't show this but that's because updating shapefiles is low priority.  I would expect that the AG will be replaced as well but the priority was providing the necessary relief for the growth in the area.

Fast Conklin... Isn't that an oxymoron?

Please note: I have a professional bias towards Vodafone.

HNE_AG is an ASAM so ADSL 1 speeds

According to this http://nztelco.com/content/?p=389 the RBI is upgrading to ADSL2+

Chorus webiste says HNE_AG is scheduled for March 2012 so maybe you will get ADSL2+ speeds this month sometime
