Thanks for quick reply i have moved closer to cabinet might be 10 metre from it, in house next door i was getting 69 10 with 2db loss seems a bit strange.

one line from etp with new splinter install, rj 45  modem on 6.06 firmware

Thanks again i do understand that it all about the wiring but 3 db is pretty low isn't it

that line looks alot stronger than the stats previously posted, might be the scaling on it though.

your line is 3dB, almost certainly your gonna fall over to 17a within the month, cant assure you will get 69/10 as thats hitting the limit for vdsl, but it is well within the realm of possibility forsure!

just leave your modem constantly on, and let it do its thing!

Nothing wrong with that spectrum. I'd downgrade the firmware if you can, the 5.51 firmware reportedly performed worse for short lines that 5.22. Maybe 6.06 has the same issue. Otherwise wait a month or two and see if you get onto 17a.

Now i know what people with bad lines/high attenuation feel like. Got internet but no phone line, just sounds like it off the hook. Neighbors have the same problem. Hope it goes back to normal when chorus sort it out.

yep about 250%, hope it goes back to normal when they fix the issue. Funny thing is it happened about 9am this morning though

all the neighbours have no phones also so i would imagine its a decent fault in the cabinet

Hi,

Since having VDSL installed in April,  my latency and line speed have been dropping slowly... I've assuming it's retraining down,  but from my limited knowledge everything seems reasonable...  anyone able to suggest a fix?

judging by the fact that your on DLM-6

ild agree, your line is retraining.

by any chance is it being knocked offline/rebooted a few times a day?

your line looks pretty error free, although it could just be that profile.

not quite my question..

your profile will have moved back if,

- your modem has disconnected too many times and seen to be unstable
- your line is noisey and is causing too many errors.
- dlm is just plain unhappy...

looking at your line, i suspect it is the first.

wait for its profile to drop back down then, might take a few weeks, we will see how your errors are looking after that.

your line looks pretty clean..
