Hi Guys,
I am struggling with very low uplink speeds evenb though I have done all I can with the internal wiring ..
I am getting good downloads at 23Mbs but only 0.66Mbs up .. see Spectrum below:

Anyone have any suggestions? I am using the latest 6.83 OS On my Fritzbox7490 ....
Looking at your line there, It is probably better off on ADSL2 TBH.
Your line looks clean, so clearly line has had its work done.
What are the line stats looking like?

What do you mean by statistics? DO you mean the signal-noise stats on the DSL section?

Well signal to noise is sitting around 9db down/ 9db up, unrecoverable errors sitting at 2, no sync errors ..

no he means screen shot of all the stats, they are usually all on one page in text
attentation, snr etc etc
Attenuation would imply a bridgetap is present, might wanna check wiring again.

Nope, the modem is connected directly to demarcation point on the house.
I am 1.5km from Cabinet though in a rural location ...
I wonder if I should get a modem more suitable for long distance ... I know of several that are better than the Fritz

Mmmmm. 1.5 Km from cabinet. The longest distance that Chorus would fit VDSL2 is 1.2Km. You are just too far from a cabinet. Don't think any modem is going to help much with that kind of distance.
Hio77 is right. At that sort of distance, you are probably better off with ADSL2 unless you can get fibre ...

That's about the same as me; I got a decently faster downlink speed by switching to VDSL than ADSL2. I also shopped around for a modem with a Broadcom chipset (I have a Netcomm) which was a couple of Mbps faster than the Fritzbox.
