Suspect a new modem may be in order (or check yours just doesn't have G.INP explicitly turned off)

I can't find anything in the Fritzbox to enable or disable G.INP and it is running the last code release (06.06), pretty old at 2014 release date.

If I telnet into the router and look at the vdls config files I get a heap of info .. none of it meaning much to me as my DSL voodoo is weak :-)

So what happens when your crazy like me and try to monitor everything dsl?

you end up with 60GB+ of log data in an elasticstack waiting to be played with.

recently I moved to using grafana rather than kibana and fixed up my masses of indexes for performance, turns out i can now query the lot in near realtime...

Along the history it does show where i've added features etc.

Sadly some lot data, days i had no power, or failures corrupted indexes, but that all came in learning and expanding to multiple backup nodes...

MUHAHAHAHAHA!! MORE SPEED!!!

I replaced my old FritzBox 7340 with a shiney new Fritzbox 7590 ... got that extra 24Mbit that was being denied me!

Should add a few extra thousand dollars to the house selling price you think ? ;-)

Your negotiation was really weird before compared to now...

This really does interest me...

Almost looks as through G.993.5 isn't in that firmware, but G.993.2 Y & X

Yup it is 6.06 ..

weird.. 99.06.01 is what they did full vector in.

being that the more technical minded seem to watch this thread over the other..

i'd love to know, those of you who are on vectored dslams..

have you played with SRA much? it's on :) (i've noticed most modems by default have it off sadly..)

According DV130 SRA is set to Dynamic as default

Vigor> vdsl optn sra
sra [US] = 0, [DS] = 0.
[0: default(=3), 1: MANUAL, 2: AT_INIT, 3: DYNAMIC, 4: DYNAMIC_SOS]
SRA mode for up stream is 3
SRA mode for down stream is 3

Can't turn it off, unless 'Manual' = off
Tried various setting with no visible differences
Can set both up and downstream

SRA won't make massive changes, but it certainly does save resyncs at times.

Also gains a bit of a speed after syncing as it closes the gap between attainable and actual.

I've got a screenshot of mine working away at home, spike of ES that would have caused a resync at 4am (obviously a line or two dropped and vectoring went flappy) SRA dropped speed by 80kbit and stabilized out.

Hi There

I am lucky enough to live about 30m from a DSL cabinet.

Fritzbox 7490 is reporting line speed of 124/29 which is great.

Speedtest consistently tops out at 49/19. I have tried adjusting the obvious settings on the fritz box and using different speedtest end points.

I am with Xnet (now Vodafone next generation).

Is my ISP throttling my connection? Should Speedtest report closer to my linespeed, or can their be other issues. I have a neighbour with VDSL on 2degrees who is getting similar line speed to me but over 100Mb down on Speedtest. I have tried switching to the xnet provided modem and got the same Speedtest result.

Being a fritz, i'd say the downstream rate limit.

However... you have tried an alternative modem.

What this leads to is, RSP side shaping...

Didn't xnet used to cap to 50mbit? wonder if that still stands....

On the upside, your pegging out a Vectored line!

i would recommend a thread on the vodafone? section, then maybe @mikehales will be able to give some input.
