GZ's introducing a place where people can gather together from all walks of life to interact with other people, many from similar professional industries, to discuss and critique services, devices and ideas in a large open environment? Perhaps one where senior members keep a watchful eye over the masses in order to keep things civil and polite?

Jaxar: Better reporting of known ISP outages through geekzone as a portal?

We had this for people to report outages. Very few did.

Yeah. I could imagine however an ISP getting onboard from a social media point of view and relaying their exisitng network status updates into this section. Very little additional work for ISP, PR win and actually useful.

Please note: I have a professional bias towards Vodafone.

One way to make an uptime system that doesn't require a lot of work would be to have small client programs on selected users machines on different networks that pings in ever so often. With a system that looks for more than one ping not coming in - that would be a way to measure uptime for various parts of various providers.

An ISP is going to set up a support centre that would appoint a support manager for events that needed attention so you only needed to deal with one person who could get things done. This would avoid the need for very kind ISP staff to act in that capacity on this site.

And next would be a pig flying demo!!!

Geekzone will start supplying personal information of all users that disparage an ISP, to said ISP, for aggressive rate limiting?

Geekzone mobile app - everyone seems to have a mobile app these days - even if it's a regurgitation of the main website in a mobile friendly format.
