Another option that I stumbled across: Use dyndns to update your IP automatically for you.

Its a bit of a backdoor solution, but basically if you setup a DynDNS dynamic dns account in your router (so that the router pins Dyn every time your IP changes), with your router DNS set to UnblockUS, then UnblockUS will intercept the packet that is sent out to Dyn, and from that find out what your current IP address is

As above, DynDNS.

You really don't need a static IP for unblock-us. Updating it is as simple as going to their website and clicking a button. I've set this up for many less technology inclined people and none of them have had an issue with changing the IP. A small price to pay for Netflix convenience.
