Cable - Lightspeed 40G (10M/2M)
2 x Adults (1 desktop + 2 laptops), lots and lots and lots of torrents (films, TV, apps, music), YouTube, Skype, loads of browsing and email, photo upload (google picasa)
Usage per month varies from 35G minimum up to my max with TCL of 96G but seems to be averaging around the 60G mark

Minimal Gaming
Maximum Downloading
1 x Xbox Softmodded with Lastest XBMC
Allows Youtube and Internet browsing/downloading etc
Laptops in and out on the wireless just surfing
Good ol Dlink Wireless router (4 Port)
Nothing to special

Average only 50GB a month on the Telecom NZ Go Large Plan
More than enough for my needs
But would definatly want better speeds for more downloads
Thought my average was good untill I saw the averages of the geeks on this site

1. TCL/Clear
2. 10mbit with 80gb traffic
3. 5 adults, though I use about 60-80% of the traffic, pretty much the usual stuff, plus I use remote access to machines at work, linux ISO's, etc
4. I don't think we've ever not gone over our cap, maximum was probably around 120gb in a month

3. 1.5 adults, 3 active machines (bursting up to 8 at times) - 12 VoIP lines (yes, excessive I know, but I don't care.), torrents, usenet, browsing, emails, youtube, and generally breaking the internet.
4. 40 - 150GB, averaging at around 70GB per month.

Comments: Torrents don't go so great for me on Orcon - but usenet is fantastic. I get speeds of around 900-950 KB/sec from giganews.

Go Large
2 adults & 2 teens. Adults just general surfing, internet banking etc. Teens unknown (some Limewire, Youtube & Runescape I believe)
Average a mere 4.2 Gb per month over last 6 months

I've been getting poor speeds (currently 1079kpbs down / 51kpbs up) ever since signing up with Go Large. My original intention (and reason for migrating from Slingshot 256k unlimited) was to use eMule or uTorrent, but I have never managed to set it up (I had expert help when in the UK and used to regularly download Tv & films on eMule - really miss that).

Anyway, looking at what I'm getting with Xtra I'm feeling pretty short-changed so this morning I have signed up for X-net River. I chose X-net on the basis of some pretty good reviews on this site; the CS phone help this morning was certainly encouraging of better things to come.
