The incentive for Tim to move is now better than ever! Glad he has a viable option to get fast internet now.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

What a waste of time and money on a stupid marketing exercise, they should just focus on the rollout. I'm in Dunedin and unfriended (is that the right verb?) a couple of people because of their spam.

What upload speed will these Gigabit plans have? As if it is only 20mbit then what's the point? As people will phone and complain "my gigabit internet is slow - and yes Im testing using Ethernet." And the reply will be " your iPad is uploading some photos which has saturated your upstream.

Well, Dunedin may have won Gigatown but Chorus are "rolling out" fibre as planned regardless who won. For Dunedin that's even slower than the Caversham motorway, so how many years before anything changes?

I think it's 500Mbps upload on the 'giga' plans.
