kryptonjohn: I said I don't make those decisions on the spot and would call him back.
Great thing to say. I say this myself sometimes after letting them get right through their spiel. A few times, when I couldn't be bothered I've simply said quite firmly that I'm not interested while they're trying to introduce themselves. Living up a long driveway means that, fortunately, door knockers don't come around often.
We had a lil eastern european hottie knocking on doors down our street for Trustpower about 6 months ago....I even decided to oblige and listen to her sales tatics with my toddler in tow at the door...distracting her eyes to allow me to distract my eyes but thats another story....
Anyhow, about a month later....the neighbourhood was littered with Trustpower 2g and 5g WiFi SSIDS... amazing.
True Story.
Just last night, a lumberjack dude from trustpower was knocking doors....and didnt push me and simply said 'checking in to see if you are ready for upgrading to fibre.
(guess the eastern euro delight did make a note of what I told her and with that..... ahhh she remembered everything we talked about.... oh those precious moments I will never have again).
Aredwood: Unless you live in Tauraunga, Trustpower is unlikely to be the cheapest power company.
I live in tauranga and trustpower are still very expensive even after accounting for their annual payout.
