nzpaul:

Thanks for trying that file folks. Can anyone with Voyager try it?

I am still around 25kbs (via ethernet and gigabit capable router). I have put in a support request to Voyager.

the result above yours (my one) is on voyager in Auckland.

@PSlover14 the bottleneck is on your end as I can almost max that out on my 2degrees connection. Refer to my post on the first page.

Starts out bursting up to around 100Mbps for ~2s then sawtooths between 10 and 30Mbps. 2degrees gigabit. Auckland.

that shaper on there is nasty.

as much as murphy is also correct, that server isn't configured well to show network performance at all.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Could it be a UFF issue?

I'm thinking it could have been due to me switching providers, my 2degrees account is in pending closure mode while I switch to NOW Broadband, will test later today on NOW and see if it's faster

NOW had great customer service but I am not sure about their US transit capacity

Going off-topic but I seriously don't understand the appeal of NOW. They have CG-NAT and charge monthly if you want a public IP however from what I've seen they also don't have the best international capacity and don't have IPv6 either.

Ignoring my upload (as this is in no means idle on my network) this is evidence there is no issues maxing out a downstream connection to LA on 2degrees. Perhaps @dfnt you should jump in, the waters warm ;)

Overnight when my backups run my server has no issues saturating my upload to the US either.
