If literally all the RB750GR3 is going to do is act as a bridge for PPPoE to IP, it'll probably be okay. Out of curiosity, how invested in the UBNT world are you? You could always bang the UDM on TradeMe and replace it with a RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD, if you're not afraid of the Mikrotik GUI/CLI.

Ap's and switch and a single camera so not worth changing.

Yeah I have a small core2duo machine but don't thing it would cut it and my main server could do it but would be complicated running a VM

Or just switch ISP’s. I moved from 2degrees to Orcon. Completely hassle free and I placed the order on a Thursday 1pm. Was switched over and up and running 9am Friday.
New static IP - and a simple reconfigure of my DNS and all of my network and services was up.

I run pfSense as a VM via Proxmox, no hassles to set up at all.

I'd say plan to move away from the UDM to a hosted controller, and get a different router entirely, such as an RB4011, RB750GR3, a USG or an EdgeRouter X. I'd also recommend moving away from UBNT going forward, especially the Unifi platform. They seem to just be making a mess of everything they touch.

If you want to pay for it sure. no point removing a mostly working system went from the USG because it was gonna get discontinued soon and sold it while it had value. have ordered a Mikrotik Router to shove infront of it to see if it improves performance.

I'm just here to say that my UDM-PRO works pretty good with the Orcon 950/450 Mbps plan. :)

What server are you speedtesting against? I see 900+ easily.
Your speed does look a little lower than it should be!

I did it straight from the UDM-PRO dashboard. So, I cannot select a server. Not using speedtest. Using speedtest on my desktop:

The later releases of firmware on the UDMP has regressed PPPoE performance.  I used to Avg 900Mbps.

The dip in the Samknows chart below is me testing if later release of firmware fixed the IPS/IDS performance degradation.  Obviously not.
