I think i would be annoyed they couldn't tell you of the wait at the time you signed up. Happy that they bothered to tell you at all and then frustrated that if you have to wait a while have to resort to dial you will be frustrated indeed.

Angry at yourself when using said dial up and you click on the wrong link wait a minute or two for the page to load only to not what you thought you had clicked and then back to frustrated as you wait for the right page to load with the above named dial up service.

Well I got my phone line last night, but looks like a have to wait awhile to broadband is in my area, I don't know how long that will be.

One would imagine that if there was an cabinet just across the Rd from you then there would be enough ports for you to be able to be connected Via it only reason i can think of is that Telecom don't want to connect you to the local exchange only to have to move you to the cabinet in a couple of weeks why do it twice when a small wait and you get it done once

HBC AA, was scheduled an upgrade to ADSL2+ this year on 01/04/2010. They told me they are going to do a manual check to make sure there is any space free.

Had an interesting chat with telecom, seems my broadband was hocked up on the 18th along with my phone line, but somehow didn't get passed on to telecom, so I'm not sure what happened there, but I'm happy I got my internet, just a little sad about the speed.

What does your modem stats report, what phone wiring in the house do you have (ie general discription) and filters fitted.

Sorry I am confused now, I understood from your post at 8:24am that you infact got your internet on and was unhappy with speed, but when I asked for the line stats to undestand why the speed was bad you confused me.

Hi, yes now we are on the same page, unfortunately something else is not.

You line attenuation is good, indicating 500m or there abouts of cable, so your sync speed should be 17Mb/s or more. So once again can you explain your phone cable setup.

I'm using a Dlink ADSL2+ wireless router Model DSL-G604T, pluged into the phone line with a filter, 2 PC's connected and Xbox pluged LAN. Did speedtest with the xbox off.

Hi, dont think ther is any issue with your lan side, its the phone line side, what other phone/fax/sky boxs are on the line elsewhere in the house, have they got filters. The modem itself does not need a filter only phone devices, but leave the filter there if you must it should not effect the speed, but unfiltered phone/voice devices will.

Is there a monitored alarm (monitored or not if its across the line it can stuff DSL).
