... and the registrant's details _are_ wrong. Well, they're in breach of the DNC's policy for .nz.

Media Temple have also received a headsup to deal to their customer...

"Hosting Direct Ltd, a leading New Zealand ISP" - leading what exactly? Citations for any awards you've won or statistics showing you're bigger/faster/...?

According to webhosting.info NZ's "leading" hosting companies are in the following order:

Freeparking (10,667)
Rimu Hosting (9,352)
Discount Domains (5,607)
Web Drive (5,317)
Domainz (4,833)
1st Domains (3,536)
iServe (2,885)
Orcon (2,557)
Openhost (1,969)
Register Direct (1,132)
Ihug (1,018)
Xtra (1,002)
2Day (717)
Interspeed (644)
Islands Hosting (601)
Net24 (585)
Hosting Direct (585)
Webbase (461)

This is based on the total number of gTLDs hosted per company and gives a fairly good indication of what overall (including .NZs) would total if you break down the percentages.

I know that that list is not right. It is probably generated automatically somehow, but Telecoms figure shows how wrong it is.

The word 'Leading' is also subjective. 'Leading' in what? If a comapny was to say one of the leading, that is probably better.

This list is updated weekly and is based on the all Domains pointing to nameservers. This only covers the likes of .com .net .org .biz .info.

Obviously with .nz these numbers would be far bigger.

Xtra is pretty small time in hosting and they also outsource their hosting to a US provider.
