Batman:

networkn:

It's awesome for those small towns, but meanwhile in Mt Roskill, 2020 till I can have it!

wow are you serious!

It is a 9 year project and this has been said so many times on these forums, someone has to be first and someone has to be last.

Mt Roskill will still get UFB before most of the UFB 2 / UFB 2+ places.

Is there any indication when the order for UFB2(+) will be finalised and communicated?

Presumably "order" as in the sequence of deployment. [Edit: Reworded as it came off a bit sarcastic].

I believe that the only information available at this stage is the end date (which I think was 2022 for UFB2 and 2024 for 2+).

I should've reread the press release before posting; you're right :)

Yep. Meant schedule for deployment. Just curious. Once vectoring turned on I'll likely be pretty satisfied with VDSL until 2022.

Lastman: There are a lot of rural properties (like mine) that are on the outskirts of a town or city. The connection density is actually quite high close to populated areas.

Often the wealthiest people live in this situation so the pressure will be quite high to get fibre out to these areas too.

Ahahah, wealthy people spending on things? Unlikly.

But vectoring will be on between next year and 2022, hopefully earlier

vectoring is not being applied to every line and to my understanding its not being applied to any line that will receive UFB.

Should read Chorus UFB.

Chrous will still do vectoring in other fibre companies' areas so they have something to compete with them.

That seems short sighted. Vectoring buys time
