in the rack or in a cabinet would be better, out of sight.

Its a freestanding rack. Wall mount ones don't have room for the amount of gear I stick in.

Wow, thanks for that.

Norsewood is a great place to live. Highlights are the Scandinavian cultural heritage of the town, the Norsewear factory (shown in that TV piece), farming, hunting and hiking close by. Its a great traditional farming township and its safe, quiet and peaceful.

You may even have caught a glimpse of our home in the aerial shot.

Fun fact - Norsewear has fibre internet connected to an ISP specific network. We looked into this option back in 2019 but the quote was very high - significantly more then we paid for our Chorus UFB install.

Our Hyperfibre upgrade has been pushed out for another week.

Further to an earlier post from a member with an long distance rural run, we are seeing no degraded signal -

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

That's odd because it works properly sometimes. Have you tried lodging a fault?

I am wondering if they added your connection into the existing network in town rather then running it to the exchange.

Chorus said it’s not something they’ll look at since the connection is working fine.

If we had issues then I guess that would force their hand.
