I started off on 75/24Mbps when I shifted modem to roadside pillar, has slightly dropped over the last few months
Any boost greatly received, can't complain with current arrangements, much better than 18months ago on ADSL2+, especially upstream 800kbps to 21Mbps

How do you find out what Linecard you have? I'm in Lumsden, Southland, I can't imagine there is more than 1 card here its a small town.

Drive up to the cabinet, Check for the letters on the front of it?

Lumsden is exchange fed apart from a cabinet between Acton, Lowther and Parawa

No card changes i can see here, but being exchange fed vectoring likely won't be a thing - UCLL buggers the gains.

some modems will tell you others you need to work it out by the max connection rate.

makes little difference to the end use as there is nothing they can do to change the card. and if you are getting UFB you wont get any of the gucci stuff :)

I will have to have a look around for it, I think Lumsden is getting fibre, one day.... It needs it, everyone has rotten internet connections unless they are right in the center of town which I guess is a hint as to where the exchange is.

Thanks, That is stupidly close to my house, in fact 11 houses away, I wonder why my internet is so average. The line of trees behind it in the photo is behind my house. I'm no more than a couple of hundred meters to this thing.

The line must take a around about route to my house.

unless there is a crazy amount of ADSL connections there, yeah does look low.

I'll take a better look in the office where i can profile deeper otherwise i simply have a speed value.

if that all is crosstalk though... your in good news if vectoring comes...

Thanks, I hope we get vectoring. My stats seem pretty low considering, I have a master filter, cat6 cable from the master filter to my modem. Anything you can look into would be greatly appreciated.

There are under 200 houses, and most use wireless internet as its faster as they're too far from the exchange is my understanding.

My family live rurally, just outside of the chorus VDSL map. Currently on ADSL2+ and getting ~22000k / 1200k sync speeds (don't have other line stats on me) which is very good. It's a new subdivision and we have excellent internal wiring with master splitter hence why our adsl2+ speeds are so good.

Our current isp are unable to see past the fact that we are outside the mapped vdsl coverage, and are not doing a manual prequal.

Anyone able to help me out?

So a year since the ddDLM upgrade and no doubt now that my line is doomed to stay 13-14ms higher ping than what I was getting on DLM-1.

I had foreseen this from the first few weeks of the change that the ping (not the speed) is going to remain a permanent downgrade, but still had false hope. As a gamer, I'm sad.

Anyone else have the same result? Or did most peoples lines correct themselves to their former lower pings and I'm just SOL?
