MyRepublic might be priced competitively, but their speed test results are shocking.

And there lies the problem with these sorts of price comparison sites. That is literally all you are comparing - it doesn't tell you anything about other things like customer service (responsiveness, willingness to fix issues) or actual quality of broadband (peaktime congestion, unlimited plans that aren't really unlimited)
All it can do is give you the most cursory overview of price.

Its most annoying because the price is actually the easiest part of the equation to compare yourself with a simple google search.

Thank you for this constructive criticism- we'll certainly take it on board. I believe it will take time for this field to evolve into something as comprehensive as you describe. To this end though, we are constantly looking for ways to update and improve our services.

Exactly nonprayingmantis - yes they're cheap but that article could be construed as misleading; yes their price is great but what about the speed/service? I didn't see any mention of that anywhere in there.

I completely fail to understand how all the download speeds at my address are between 30 and 70, when I get only 18 on Spark VDSL2 (even Spark's "offering" is this!)...and the upload speeds are a *minimum* of 10 times the upload speeds I get.

There's something very wrong about all this :(
