Stats for ADSL were 11 DL/800K UL.

Voyager is my ISP and yes that guy installed the master filter today.

Sounds ever so slightly subpar adsl, master filter would have improved that.

not a bad gain at all.

That upstream gain i would be celebrating by far. Upstream congestion is the downfall to adsl when your over about the 10mbit mark.

Maybe the better question to ask would be your attenuation figures.

I have two questions.

1. I had my VDSL connected today and I am getting reasonable 22DL/2.4UL speeds compared to ADSL. How do check whether I am running Band Plan 998?

2. What exactly will happen on 28 April, can I expect speeds to change or is what I have it?

im about 90% sure your already on 998.

I was on 17mbit/3.5mbit. on G.997

After the change it was went to 22~25 / 2 ~ 2.5 depending on if it synced at a good time.

The Chorus checker currently tells you what the neighbours ACTUALLY get as well as other options... So look at a few around you and see what the people on VDSL are getting. You'll see if you are out of step.

Based off your line stats there, thats a impressive sync tbh.

the 997 power mode print out on the vigor 130, is standard. even on 998.

Every ISAM in the country has been migrated to 998 now.

is that the current speed of the potential speed? you need to be looking at the current speeds of the neighbours, the potential speed just means they can get VDSL.

Give the DLM time to kick in. Mine improved a bit once it had settled down.

A house 4 closer to the cabinet than me gets 64Mbps (10 Salibury Ave) and yet a house (22 Salisbury Ave) 8 further away than me ( 14 Salisbury Ave) gets the same as me 40Mbps all that tells me is as soon as fiber is up here I'll be swapping quick smart

See now this is the problem with using that tool. only half the story is told.

in 6 houses along, i wouldnt expect 20mbit lost, but it is possible. Also could be a case of a borderline 17a vs peaking 8b (remember generally 17a runs at a higher snr and lower powerlevel so its less 'agressive' to account for the increases)

what would be better is if the map actually showed where the copper goes that you're connected to and it's only 4 houses and of the 3 between 1 doesn't have any bb services and the other two are on ADSL2+ so go figure and the socket on the wall in my place is directly connected to the outside line there is no point of entry in between it and the green box out front

Good luck with that, MDF layouts arent even shown on CCM.
