I might actually be getting this problem right now. I am just setting up my Starlink today, and have my ubiquiti access point plugged into the Ethernet Adaptor, and then into the Starlink Router. Devices connecting to the Access Point are only getting about 20mbps down on speedtests than standing right next to the Starlink Router and using its WIFI.

Maybe something wrong with my ethernet cables, or setup on the Ubiquiti Access Point.

Hope you can resolve it.  Suggest go back to basics and plug Starlink ethernet direct to PC etc.  My problem was I got a max of about 100Mbps via ethernet + Google WiFi, rather than 200Mbps normally expected.  I was initially using a flat-ribbon ethernet cable.  I ended up using a Cat 6 lying around.  I do wonder if the Starlink Ethernet needs some decent shielded cable for some reason (e.g. its outdoors-ness).  Alternatively going via a switch (as mentioned above) may be a more full-on (but interesting) solution.

I need a largely clear sky south to the horizon?

The app shows the views required, but it may be worth considering that Starlink may change this to make use of spare satellite capacity (eg further out to sea).  For example in the US, some people installed their dishes only to find that their dishes were later reoriented from N to NE or NW, and that they were now getting obstructions.

Yeah it's totally the ethernet cable. I tried an old crossover cable and it's working better. I think i'll go and get some new Cat6 cables later today. Another point I think the Ubiquiti access point only works at a max LAN speed of 100mbps so perhaps I need to upgrade it to a newer 1gbps one.

I'm assuming the currently shipping Starlink kits still have an ethernet PoE connection between the dish power brick and supplied router?

I've got the old round version and have dishy directly connected to a Ubiquiti UDM without using the Starlink router at all.

Works a treat for me. You can also set up a static route in the UDM to keep the stats working in the app as well.

Is that still possible or is it a non-starter on the new kits?

Yeah this rectangular dish and router don't have ethernet capability. I had to buy their Starlink Ethernet adapter (shipped 3 weeks before the dish did). I think I've figured out the problem anyway. Going to upgrade the ethernet cables and look at a dual channel 1gbps LAN Ubiquiti Access Point. My current one is a AP V2 which is only 100mbps LAN and only 2.4ghz Wifi.

I’d suggest SpaceX brand (mainly because I haven't heard of anyone else making them with the right connector for the Starlink router).

Here's a teardown of the Ethernet Adaptor

Anyone currently with Starlink managed to contact them through the website?

I'm struggling to find a method, unless I am completely blind, which is a possibility
