Here is mine and the errors are basically nothing so I would disconnect those other jacks and see how you go.

your seems to dip alot more in the adsl2 band, i suppose thats crosstalk for the mostpart..

later in the week when i have a good amount of time to sit down and unscrew faceplates (not the standard BT plates im used to.. these ones seem to take a tad more effort to get into..)

long weekend this weekend though, perfect time for it!

as a side question, arent the first DLM resyncs pretty fast in the first week? wasnt any resyncs today or yesterday ..

sidefx: @Tuikapo: What modem are you using? If you have low line attenuation and are close to cabinet I'd probably leave everything well alone and see if you end up on 17a :)

Hey, Using a zyxel p-870h-51a v2 - Supports 17a, but unfortunately never got assigned 17a.

Have around 1.6db line attenuation.

And you have a master splitter filter isolating any wire stubs??

EDIT: With low attenuation you should get 50/10 without question if the wiring side of things is A1. Mine is just a single 25 meter run of cat5 from demarc.

I have the same router at 70 line of sight meters from cabinet (I suspect the real cable run around cul-de-sac is 290 meters or so as my Cisco on ADSL2+ circuit reports 4 dB attenuation).

I keep hoping that one day it will be 17a guess I will have to keep getting by limping along at 43Mbs.

I think I may have angered the DLM gods...

33 days uptime with a CRC of 0.01 and I'm not on DLM-1 yet :/

Did a modem reset just for good measure, but nothing...

Improved my sync speeds by completely bypassing the wall socket, so either the socket or the provided cable was not up to the task.

Old speed was 18.4 down and 8.2 up

After running a new cat6 cable from the demarcation point right to the Fritz, (scotchloks used for connecting to the incoming line) crimped RJ11 to Fritz (middle pins)

This improved speed to 24 down and 10 up

@SamF; Bummer, that's weird. DLM is a mystery! Maybe another 2 weeks will do it, didn't someone think there was some sort of 6 week cycle to it? or maybe it's broken again, lol.

I had a play with dropping my target SNRM some more a couple of weeks ago since -30 still had such low errors. Dropped it to -40 then -50 I think and still had lowish errors so went to -60. Big mistake. CRCPM went up to 3 then 4 - I left it all day to stabilise and they ended up at 5 CRCPM that evening. Dropped it back to -50 but errors seemed even worse, so back to -40. Now sitting pretty on 1.03 CRCPM. Looks like it's the sweetspot on my line currently.

@sidefx: Yeah, seems odd. Previously I've had changes at around 2 weeks. I might try upping the SNRM to get even lower errors if nothing happens in the next 2 weeks!

hio77: well, my vdsl is all installed now, so onto posting dlm updates in here for me too

oddly enough, the fritz came from snap, with all settings set to max performance

so, 11 days in, no dlm changes, forced 2 or 3 resyncs to see if it would help, it didnt unfortunately..

is dlm broken? or is it the fact that the fritz came preset with max performance? i pulled it back to normal, but that came with some strange stats (INP 4.0, i dont see that listed anywhere in the levels of DLM with an 8ms latency..) as to be expected, it had quite some effect on speed aswell :/

havent had a chance to dig into wireing, so clearly something needs to be done there still, busy busy week..

soo.. after poking at the fact that DLM hasnt changed at all yesterday afternoon, come 4:15, resync!

i guess this leaves the question to be asked, is this DLM-2, or is it DLM-6, considering what i had before i assumed was DLM-6, but it had weird INP values..

isnt a jump from 6 to 2 rather uncommon however?

@hio77: Nice one. That is most likely DLM-4 with the Fritzbox not showing INP 1 correctly - this has been observed by many people including myself.

(In my case and a few others when it went from DLM6 to DLM4 then DLM2 wasn't far behind, so fingeres crossed for you. :) FEC error rate looks a bit nasty though. )

Yes, it's probably DLM4. The most common pattern seems to be another resync 2 or 3 days later that appears to change nothing but in reality is a change from DLM4 to DLM2. 2 or 3 days after that it often changes to DLM1.
