Lorenceo: I like how there's a 90 degree bend and then a bunch of wider ones straight after.

Yeah, I thought they were supposed to use sweep bends. That's what the Chorus PDF says.

ALTRON: On a slight side note here.
Finally got ufb installed and running at my place. :) They came and dug up and removed the green box that everyone has around here and replaced just with PVC pipe coming out of the concrete.

interesting

Thats more than interesting - thats a poor peice of pipe work - any chance you can PM me your location details and ill follow this up with the QA teams (to have it fixed and to make sure it doesnt happen again) - that 90deg bend wont be doing your signal levels any good

Is a 90 degree bend a problem inside as well (after the fibre enters the house, but before it goes into the ONT?) I'd have at least six 90 degree bends in my internal wiring, where it goes from on side of the garage to the other.

there's 90deg bends inside the house too.

To be honest Im just relieved to get it installed and up and running finally as its taken up to three months since i applied for it to get it actually installed.
So much red tape and slow administration, customer feedback from telecom I kinda just wanna close the case and be done with it.

Took over a month to get 'consent' from other parties to start work when we own the building, there is no driveway. Our place is right on the footpath where fibre comes out, you could hope for a easier install.

performance seems good. (probably going to move up to 100Mb plan soon though)
