Hi guys,

We are proud to announce our new feature on BroadbandCompare.co.nz – the Customer Review System.

You asked us about it many times and we have now done it!  Every visitor can share their opinion and experience regarding New Zealand ISPs on the BroadbandCompare NZ review system.

BroadbandCompare NZ review system

It's really easy to do. Just visit the Information page of the ISP you are reviewing, click the button "Write a review" and a little pop-up window will be shown:

Put your marks, comments, and pros/cons (optional) and your review will be shared with other people and your opinion will contribute to the overall ISP rating.

Also, you can find the Customer Review rating as an extra parameter on the comparison listings as well as on the ISP listings page https://www.broadbandcompare.co.nz/broadbands/

https://www.broadbandcompare.co.nz/broadbands/

So please give us your opinion (rates or review) about your NZ Broadband provider.  It only takes 60 seconds to review your ISP and both positive and negative remarks are welcomed.  Your rates will affect the providers 'overall rating' as well as 'customer rating'.  So, your reviews really do have an impact on the rating that ISP’s receive and will help other New Zealanders make a more informed choice.

We hope it will make a difference and broadband providers will improve their support, attitude and (even!) prices. Tell us your experiences of any of the 99 Broadband providers on our web-site.

Please, share this post. More shares - more people - more thoughts/reviews/ratings - more changes.

Please feel free to give us a feedback about this feature.

PS Visit broadbands list here https://www.broadbandcompare.co.nz/broadbands/ : and leave your rates/reviews.

My thought is that this will probably accurately measure the ratings of users that are upset with their performance, or those that just got gig and want to rate their ISP highly. Given the monstrous self selection issue with your sample there's not a chance that this will measure anything like a fair and reasonable representation of the ISP as a whole.

Cheers -N

Yes, I work for Spark, yes I will be accused of bias, but I am more interested in the truth and fair reporting than just about anyone else I know.

Please note all comments are from my own brain and don't necessarily represent the position or opinions of my employer, previous employers, colleagues, friends or pets.

I go to https://www.broadbandcompare.co.nz/compare   enter no filters and select to sort providers by rating.

The top provider that is Reccomend is MyRepublic, with a rating of 7.4.

The second provider is Bigpipe with a rating of 9.4

Why have you listed MyRepublic first, when it's score is lower than Bigpipe by quite a margin?

Hi Talkiet,

we are open for any suggestions. Regarding Spark - we don't have any replies on our emails from you.

Regarding Spark - we have sent you emails several times but nobody replied. The same story with calls. We could talk about your thoughts and suggestions a long time ago but...

Hi there,

that is correct. Check the screenshot below:

Customer Review Rating you can see as a dedicated rating for ISP.

Overall Rating - is a rating for the current plan. It includes connection type, speed, data, contract, fees, customer review rating for current ISP, etc.

Other words, Overall Rating now includes Customer Review Rating as well.

PS Good idea, we will add the sorting by Customer Review Rating
